Lifetime Activities Syllabus

Lifetime Activities class will providestudents with instruction and an opportunity to develop skills andunderstanding in a wide variety of individual, team sports and groupactivities. These activities may becompetitive, non competitive or fitness related. Students are expected to gaina working understanding of the rules and strategies in an assortment ofcompetitive activities and enhance their individual skill and level of physicalfitness. Students will also be expected to enhance their level of fitness andconditioning through regular fitness training throughout the nine-week course. Students will have the opportunity toofficiate games from time to time.
Students will be required to change intoappropriate attire daily and participate in all activities to the best of theirability. Teamwork, sportsmanship and apositive attitude will be essential for success in this class.
Grading will be assessed upon the following criteria:
Missedparticipation time due to excused absence must be made up to avoid reduction inclass points.
Students must be prepared for the differentweather conditions. Students should alsobring a lock to secure their belongings during class. Please report any injuries to Mr. Curby assoon as possible. Inappropriate orunsafe behavior, bullying or taunting will not be tolerated.

- Lifetime Cardio
- High Intensity Interval Training
- Ping Pong
- Basic Gymnastics
- Large Group Games
- Team Handball
- Group Exercise
- Floor Hockey
*Some activities will take place offcampus. An off campus travel waiver mustbe returned with an appropriate parent/guardian signature prior to a studentbeing allowed to travel with the class.
