Hello! My name is Amy Webb, and I am the new District Nurse for Hillsdale Community Schools. I have lived here in Hillsdale with my husband Jeff and our three sons, for 25 years. Jeff teaches at Hudson Schools at the Center for Science and Industry, and the boys, Owen, Sam, and Aaron, have all attended Hillsdale Schools.
I graduated from Oakland University in 1993 with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and have been fortunate to be able to work in small community hospitals like our own Hillsdale Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital in Tawas City, as well as large medical centers like Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and Allegiance Hospital in Jackson. Although my background is primarily in surgery, I have worked in various other areas during my 27 years of nursing.
I have been involved as a parent volunteer at the schools for many years and love the opportunity to help out. From working in the concession stand at football games and helping coach the Gier Science Olympiad team to chaperoning field trips and running concessions for the Davis Quiz Bowl Tournament, it’s all been fun! I’m happy to be here now as a member of the HCS staff and look forward to serving the school community.
