Did you know that Davis Middle School was recognized as a Reward School by the Michigan Department of Education through a second study of academic performance? The middle school earned that recognition based on performance on the state's academic assessments. Davis Middle school was the top performing school in a cohort of 30 middle schools. The state compares school performance in several ways some by growth and some by achievement. In this study, called "Beating the Odds -- Study II", Davis Middle School was part of a group of 30 middle schools that are most alike. The academic measures of each school were then compared to others in that group. DAVIS MIDDLE SCHOOL IS THE #1 RANKED SCHOOL IN THEIR PEER GROUP.
