About Me

My name is Lauren Whedon, and I am the Behavior Interventionist at Gier Elementary. I have been working at Gier since February 2019 and coaching Varsity Softball at Hillsdale High School since the spring of 2018. At Gier, I am responsible for working with all the students to help them be safe and successful at school. Creating a positive climate is my first priority. My previous work experience was working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with autistic children. I love being in the school setting, working with our excellent students and dedicated staff members. I am a proud mother of one to my daughter, Peyton, who currently attends Davis Middle School and is in the fifth grade. I have been married to my husband, Eric, since September of 2012.

My Education

I am a graduate of Western Michigan University (2010) with a Bachelor's in Science. I majored in Family and Consumer Science with two minors in Sociology and Alcohol and Drug Abuse. I have completed some classes at Capella University for a Masters in Psychology.
